The 5th Horse Expo New Zealand was held on Sunday, April 5th 2009.

Five Horse Expo New Zealand events have been held at the showgrounds so far - and all have proved extremely popular. Horse Expo is organised by a dedicated sub-committee of the Helensville A&P Association.

Horse Expo is:

• A day to celebrate everything to do with horses.
• A showcase for the many different clubs, breed societies and organisations involved with horses.
• A comprehensive display of the latest equestrian products and services.
• Equestrian-themed entertainment and displays.
• Supporting the international charity, Riding for the Disabled.

Horse Expo is designed to appeal to a broad audience, including:

• Anyone involved in an equestrian code.
• The equestrian trade - manufacturers, or anyone retailing an equestrian product or service.
• Anyone with an interest in horses in general, such as former riders, farmers etc.
• Children and youths in the 'horse-mad' age range of 8-15.
• Families - it's a great family day out.
